I received recently an email from Crucial promoting there memory upgrades for all thing Mac. I had used Crucial memory upgrade on a previous Windows machine with good result so I went ahead and ordered there 8GB Package for my MacBook Pro 13" i7 early 2011 machine.

I downloaded there scanner which identified required parts, I thought £40.79 including delivery sounded very reasonable so ordered it 10am on Tuesday and it was delivered next day and I had it installed by 10am Wednesday. So within 24 hours I had upgraded from 4GB to 8GB.
Installation was straight forward, worked first time. I followed the guidance found at
